- Full-Width Pages And Posts
The plugin’s primary purpose is to allow you to effortlessly create full-width pages or posts. By full-width, we mean edge to edge. You can then go on to create your own full-width content using either a Page Builder (like Beaver Builder) or, just some HTML and CSS.
The plugin allows you to make the page full-width by a combination of Genesis hook changes (which remove certain sections of the page) and CSS that forces the entry-content area to be super wide.
Full Width Stylesheet
The plugin can set the page template to be full width which means that are no sidebars. The plugin adds a stylesheet that allows the page content to be edge to edge.
If you happen to be building pages manually (using HTML and CSS), the plugin defines some classes that allow you to do things like set the width of the content area on the page, and easily center content. We will add more helper classes as we think of them.
The Supported Genesis Child Themes page is itself an example of the use of the inner class for the paragraphs above and below the colored boxes.
- Content Removal
You can also use the plugin to tweak individual pages by removing selected sections: simple things like removing post info (e.g the post date and author) on certain posts, suppressing a title, or removing a menu.
